    Our 16+ summer courses take place at St. Clare's International College site from mid-June to the end of August. The college is situated about 1½ km from Oxford City Centre in a pleasant residential area. Facilities include classrooms, dining hall, café, student common room, hall, Academic Resource Centre with library, language laboratory and computing centre, student cyber space and residences, all within a few minutes' walk of each other. Students can choose from a variety of 2, 3 and 4-week courses which include general English language programmes, intensive English language study, English for academic purposes and for the International Baccalaureate (IB), English language plus special studies such as tennis, horse riding and literature. All course fees include full board residential accommodation, one full day excursion per week plus a varied and exciting sports and activities programme.

Arrival and departure days

  • Arrival Day is Saturday and rooms are available from 1400 hrs.
  • You attend an orientation programme on Sunday.
  • You start your course at 0900 hrs on Monday, with a placement test.
  • Teaching takes place Monday to Friday, except the week of departure, when the last teaching day is Thursday
  • You leave on Friday and we ask you to leave your room by 1000 hrs.
  • Prices include travel insurance ie. medical and personal possessions cover
  • If you wish to book an airport transfer email student.services@stclares.ac.uk with your flight details and credit card payment.

Notes. It is usually possible to take non-residential students on any of our courses. Please email summer.admissions@stclares.ac.uk for tuition only fees.
