The Aims of the Summer Workshops for Experienced IB Teachers are:

  • To provide curriculum support for teachers - interpretation and implementation of the syllabus content, structure and assessment requirements.
  • To clarify and to provide hands-on experience and practice of IB exam marking and preparation, Extended Essays and Internal Assessments.
  • To discuss and explore aspects of teaching and learning strategies and methodologies.
  • To provide a forum for teachers to share ideas and experiences of successful and innovative teaching and learning practices, course content and concepts.
  • To introduce and review up to date printed, electronic and visual resources and their uses in teaching and learning practices.

Methods of Delivery:

  • A small group of participants (up to 20) will enable the leaders to share their expertise and knowledge in an open, informal, supportive and highly professional manner. Discussion, involvement and questions will be encouraged.

The Leaders of the Summer Workshops for Experienced IB Teachers:

  • All our leaders are IB Approved, highly qualified and experienced IB Workshop leaders with many years of experience in leading workshops throughout the world.

The TOK Session:

  • This session aims to explore ways in which mutual links based on critical thinking between individual subjects and TOK can be developed and implemented in teaching. A specialist TOK Workshop Leader will run this session.

Keynote Speakers:

  • Special speakers for each subject area - further details here.
