Intensive preparation for your IB Diploma examinations in May or November 2003

Two St Clare's students studying in the Academic Resources Centre LibraryOne subject per course, to a maximum of 3 courses. Note that it is possible to take just one course, but it is anticipated that most students taking Course 1 will also attend Course 2.

Classes are very focussed, with all your attention on just one subject for a few days each. Students are able to take a fresh look at the subject as a whole, as well as working on all the different topics within each subject. The intense atmosphere means that all students work hard, which allows students to develop the right balance between a broad overview of the subject and an understanding of the details, whilst dealing with any difficulties.Give yourself every opportunity to maximize your potential in your IB exams.

Groups are small, providing you with as much personal help as possible with any academic difficulties. You will cover a wide range of material in a very short time. As a result, you will be able to approach your exams not only knowing more and with greater understanding, but also with the confidence that this brings - and therefore better placed to do your best. Classes will only operate with at least 4 students per class. If not there are not sufficient students in your chosen class by three weeks before the course begins, then you can either cancel or change your subject option.

Using past IB exam papers, classes will work on the best approach to the examination, exploring exactly what the examiners are looking for, and how to approach different question types. This sort of guidance can also be relevant to your other subjects as well! Each class will approach the subject content in a different way, adjusting according to the needs of the students, and providing individual support wherever possible.

Once you have registered, we will send you a questionnaire for each subject. You can complete the form to let us know which areas of the syllabus you have particular concerns over. Our teachers can then put together a unique course for your classes which will include your specific needs.

Some students will attend Course 1 and Course 2, OR will attend Course 3. However, please see details of a Study Weekend to link the courses for students who want to attend all three.
