1953-2003 - 50 Years of Promoting International Education & Understanding

New Place

In January 2002 we were able to move into the newly refurbished 131 Banbury Road, purchased last year. Large comfortably furnished classrooms now house the Maths Department. Smaller rooms suit tutorial classes. A 3 room music suite with a grand piano and space for the music groups to rehearse is a welcome addition to our facilities. A function room offers a congenial space for entertaining and meetings and was put to use for the literature seminar by Oxford poet Kate Clancy in April, and by returning alumni for the International Baccalaureate 25th Anniversary Reunion in June.

On the top floor there is accommodation for up to 7 students and a residential warden. At the suggestion of Paul Saville, we are calling 131 Banbury Road, New Place. Some will recognise the reference to Shakespeare's house in Stratford-upon-Avon.
