       1. Registration
        Fee and Deposits
        Each student
needs to pay a Registration Fee of £50. This is non-refundable, and must
accompany the application form. There are two Enrolment Deposits; the
Tuition Deposit of £200 secures your place on the course and the Accommodation
Deposit of £200 secures your place in college provided accommodation.
Tuition and Accommodation Deposits are required for each term or course.
Deposits are credited towards the full fees. The deposit(s) and registration
fee must be sent with the application form. If we are not able to offer
you a place, or to arrange accommodation as requested, the deposit is
        refunded.

If you do not take up your accommodation or place on a course the deposit
is not refunded, unless there are exceptional circumstances, and at St.
        Clare's discretion.
      Fees include:
Tuition, regular social/activities programme, careers/higher education
advice, loan of textbooks and use of all College facilities.
      2. Additional charges:

        - Examination
          fees

The following examinations may normally be taken each term, apart from
the Cambridge Proficiency in English (CPE), and the Cambridge Certificate
in Advanced English (CAE). Exam entry fees are due about three months
before the exam date, and these are the fees for 2001 (estimated as
          a guide).

police registration for non-Europeans and book purchase, all need to
be paid for in the first week.

      3. Fee Policy
        The Governing
Body reserves the right to alter the fees if increases in costs make this
necessary, though its policy is to maintain fees at the level charged
        for comparable courses. Top
      4. Payment of Fees
When your application form and deposit(s) are received, you will be invoiced
for the balance of the fees due. This amount should be paid at least
3 weeks before your course begins. Payment of this balance guarantees
        your accommodation and course place.

If you are applying less than 5 weeks before your course begins
you should pay the full costs of your course and accommodation, plus the
registration fee, at the time you make your application. However, if you
are booking late (i.e. within 5 weeks of the starting date of your course),
we advise you to check with the Admissions
Office that a space is available for you before you send us full fees.

Please ensure that the College receives the full amounts of deposits and
fees after all bank charges have been paid. If you are making a bank transfer,
instruct your bank that you will pay all charges. You will be asked to
pay any outstanding bank charges on arrival. Top

      6. Refunds, Withdrawals
        and Cancellations
        Registration
is by the term, for shorter periods within a term, or by course. Deposits
are required for each course, term or period for which you wish to register.
Deposits are non-refundable, except under exceptional circumstances.

If you have paid for your course in advance but are unable to attend,
we will make the following refunds:

      If you decide to leave
early, before the end of the course or the end of term, fees are not refunded,
except under exceptional circumstances and at St. Clare's discretion.
Fees are not refunded if you are asked to leave the College because of
        unsatisfactory behaviour or work

Registration is on a termly basis or by course. The Cancellation conditions
given above apply to each term, part of term or course for which you are
registered. In other words, if you register for two or more terms or courses
and cancel, the deposit, or two weeks' fees are deducted from fees for
each course or term before a refund is made. Top
      7. Accommodation
        Changes
        Please note
that if you wish to move out of College or homestay accommodation you

        - four weeks for
          College accommodation

        - one week for homestay

      The same notice period
is required for changes of accommodation. A charge is made for changes
or cancellations made without giving the notice period.
      8. Travel Insurance
        The Travel Insurance
fee is mandatory and covers travel directly to and from St. Clare's, travel
