Horse riding in Wales

We departed St. Clare's on Friday night with much anticipation. It was a long and exhausting trip to the Brecon Beacons, in mid Wales, but we managed to entertain ourselves with an abundance of sweeties and treats! Upon arrival at the cottage, Tony, our host, cooked up a feast of delicious food and showed us kind hospitality throughout the weekend.

We were horse riding all day Saturday through the Welsh countryside and were blessed with a clear autumn day. The more experienced riders of the group had the opportunity to canter during some parts of the ride, while the others continued to walk and admire the views. We were all shattered by the end of the day and walking a little strangely! Luckily, there was an outdoor spa back at our cottage where we relaxed our aching legs.

Overall, it was an enjoyable weekend. We met people from all over the world during the weekend, ate an enormous amount of food and rode our little hearts out, true cowboy style! A big thank you to the group who made the weekend so amusing; Alexandra Ferkau, Jerzy Pietrucha, Xionan Sun, Kiki Mys, Jianmin Lu, Qingqing Song (Diana), Sarah Sabel, Julie Goldsberg, Ali Akla, Abdullah, Lara Long, Heather Waller, Anemyn Hageman and Mellisand Cross.
