St. Clare's students see Oxford go top! |

a stormy Saturday afternoon in November, fifteen St. Clare's students
went to watch Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium. For the Inter Milan,
Bayern Munich and Santos fans, this trip formed part of their cultural
development in witnessing classic English third division football.
In a fiercely fought encounter, where brute strength and technical skills were essential on a rain-soaked pitch, Oxford overcame Maccelsfield 2 - 0. This took the Oxford United team top of the league and extended their 13 game unbeaten run. |

The students enjoyed the spectacle and atmosphere of the match and even met "Olly the Ox", the team's mascot. Pedro even considered trying to sign up "Olly" for Santos' next home match! |
