Visiting St. Clare's

During the year, we have several events and occasions when you can visit the College.

Open Days
Our Open Days, take place on Saturdays and give you a broad, general view of St. Clare's, allowing you to tour the campus, meet our students, learn about our IB Diploma programme, and talk to key staff. Our next Open Day is on Saturday 6 March 2004. Contact us if you'd like us to send you details.

The programme for the day is:

10.00 arrive 139 Banbury Road welcome, coffee, tea
10.30 Hall Presentation: background to St. Clare's and the IB Diploma
11.15 tours tours of the Banbury Road campus, with current students
12.00 onwards 139 Banbury Road buffet lunch

St. Clare's - inside out! - our latest open event brings students into our IB classrooms.

Our most recent event was geared to students who had expressed an interest in St. Clare's, but had yet to decide.

Our academic staff pride themselves on their informal-yet-focussed approach to IB teaching and so we invited these students to spend part of a day with us, to see for themselves what it was really like in the IB classroom.

Nick Lee, Director of Studies, prepared a programme for each of our visitors, based on the subjects they wished to study, or wished to learn about. The students were accompanied by some of our First Year IB students, who were able to guide them around the campus, escort them to lessons and, importantly, point out where lunch was!

Not all the students we invited we able to attend, but those who couldn't were grateful for the invitation, and some will organise other occasions when they can spend a day with us. Those who came were struck by how different St. Clare's was in the way the students were taught, and were very enthusiastic about what they saw.

If you would like the chance to spend time with us on an ordinary working day, we'd be pleased to set this up. Contact the Admissions Registrar for more details.

Personal appointments to suit your schedule
People's busy work schedules sometimes mean that they cannot attend an event at a fixed time or date. If so, you would be very welcome to make a private appointment to visit us, view the College, meet with key academic and admissions staff, or with the Principal, and have the opportunity to discuss your requirements with us in detail.
