Educational exchange can turn nations into people, contributing, as no other form of communication can, to the humanising of international relations.

J William Fulbright

The Liberal Arts Programme offers university level courses

  • for visiting students from universities in the US and elsewhere
  • for other students of equivalent academic standing.

The St. Clare's Liberal Arts Programme has been running for almost 40 years. It is accredited through the British Accreditation Council and has strong formal affiliations with a number of Colleges and Universities in the United States.

Two important affiliates are Marquette University, Milwaukee and the University of San Diego. We have similar relationships with Guilford, Salem and Meredith Colleges, NC, and Manhattanville College, NY. Through these relationships we are also affiliated with their sister and associated institutions. As a result, students from many US institutions can come and enjoy a semester or a year at St. Clare's, earn at least 15 credits per semester to transfer back to their home institution, and take advantage of having Europe on their doorstep.
