The 2004 Graduation class of St Clare's are unsurprisingly obtaining strong University placements.

Currently we have data on 88 students from the class of 2004. Eighty five sat examinations for the full IB Diploma, two were completing a number of certificates and one was a transfer student from another school doing a number of retakes.

A minimum of 17 students will be taking up places at one of the top 10 Universities in the UK, as ranked in the Times Good University Guide 2005. This figure will be updated as records are finalised.

Oxford University - 2
Imperial College, London - 8
University College London - 5
Warwick University - 2

In addition, a further 11 students will be placed in one of the next six highest ranked universities: Bath, Bristol, Edinburgh, King's College, London, Nottingham and Royal Holloway, London.

As an interesting comparison 21 students will be in a top 10 ranked University as listed in the Guardian University Guide.

Oxford University - 2

University College London - 5
Warwick University - 2
King's College, London - 3

As usual, St. Clare's students will be reading a range of subjects including Biomedical Sciences, Law, Engineering, Computer Science, Architecture, Languages and Literature, Philosophy, Mathematics, Management, Politics, Economics, Business and Psychology.

Currently 53 students will take up places in the UK. This figure will increase as we complete our records.

Four students are taking up places in the United States;

Bates College - Economics Major - scholarship award
Northeastern University, Boston - Business Major

These are complemented by one student beginning at McGill University, Canada and another at the University of British Columbia, Canada.

We are still waiting to hear from 14 students, while 8 will undertake GAP year experiences. The remainder will all be taking up courses in their country of origin or elsewhere overseas. Examples of these are; Vienna University, British Institute in Paris, American University in Paris, Beijing University, Seoul University. Further details are awaiting confirmation.

This information will be updated regularly over the next few weeks and will be finalised at the end of September when we receive the official final destinations report from UCAS.
