Welcome to St Clare's: a very different Sixth Form experience
Thank you for visiting our Open Day zone; we hope you'll be able to join us on Saturday 16 October between 1000 and 1300 for our first Open Day of the academic year.

This zone gives you the background information you may need before your visit.

You can use this zone to find where the College is, check our Open Day programme in advance (below) and learn more about the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

In addition to the tour of the College and the IB presentation, you may have specific questions, and may wish to arrange a private meeting with Chris Osbourn, our Admissions Registrar. Just let us know and we'll fit you in.

Chris will also be able to tell you about our range of Scholarships and Bursaries.

If you can`t make 16 October, or would like another chance to view the College, our second Open Day is Saturday 12 March 2005. Alternatively, you may wish to agree another day to come and see us - we'll try our best to fit around your family's availability.

Why St. Clare's?
We are always encouraged by the positive response and attitude of our students, but it is only fair to say that our College does not suit everyone - for a start, we only offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma, a qualification that best fits our commitment to Global Citizenship.

We're also an informal learning environment, where our standards are high, but where we expect our students to take an active responsibility for their learning. We'll give them all the support they need through our network of House Wardens, Dean of Students and Personal Tutors, but we work actively with our students to help them achieve their best.

In keeping with our ethos and atmosphere, we do not wear uniform, nor address our teachers formally; this is a grown-up place to learn, and the positive, friendly interaction between staff and students (ratio 1:8) is often remarked upon by our visitors.

When you come to visit us, you'll be able to judge for yourself!
