This year's International Day set out to help our students understand and appreciate the diverse cultures within our student body, through a series of fun, practical and challenging events.

Students wore their national flag colours or national costume, debated current affairs issues in their own countries - everything from fox-hunting to China/Taiwan relations - and enjoyed an international lunch which included German, Indian, Italian and French cuisine.

In the afternoon they took part in a number of practical workshops, covering areas such as African hair braiding and Indian henna designs. Films from various countries were then shown, followed by music and dance performances, covering many types and styles, from Morris dancing to salsa! A vibrant multi-cultural fashion show finished the lively and challenging day of colour and contrast.
