Welcome to St Clare's: a very different Sixth Form experience

Open Days 2005 / 2006:
Saturday 1 October 2005 10 am - 1 pm
Saturday 21 January 2006 10 am - 1 pm
Saturday 29 April 2006 10 am - 1 pm

We'd be delighted to see you and your family, to show you the College and to tell you something about the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

If you'd like to come and see the College at another time that suits you, we're always very happy to make an appointment for you and your family to visit.

We've produced an informal open day visitor pack for open events, with up-to-date College information; even if you couldn't make it to the Open Day, you'd be very welcome to a copy if you wish.

Our recent open days have highlighted how many people were interested in learning more about the International Baccalaureate Diploma. This is not surprising, especially as the future of the UK examination system is currently under discussion, and recent surveys of British universities have shown how highly regarded applicants with IB are.

Chris Osbourn, Admissions Registrar at St. Clare's, was formerly an admissions professional at two UK universities. Chris recalls how these universities welcomed IB student applications, as the grading system and demands of IB demonstrated the candidate's abilities and talents so well, and allowed real distinctions between candidates to be made.

St. Clare's has offered IB longer than any other provider in England, (and 41st in the world!) You'll find lots of background information in our online IB guide, and can also contact us if you have specific questions about how we teach IB, and why we believe the IB Diploma to be such an important qualification. Please do contact Chris - he will also be able to tell you about our range of Scholarships and Bursaries and the Application Procedure.
