The students from St. Clare's took part in the 3rd annual Helping in the Community day on Saturday. The purpose of the day was to encourage the students to mingle with the local community and understand the concept of volunteering (doing something for nothing). We had 41 volunteers on the day, the tasks included helping at a local church fete, packing shopping at three supermarkets, car washing, path clearing, homework assistance, visiting the elderly and playing with local children. All the volunteers were a credit to the college, Vasil Kalimarov in particular washed a total of 10 vehicles.
