It seemed Radley College are more inclined to play rugby than football as they turned up in their rugby kit to play St.Clare's. We expected a difficult game against this considerably successful college, but we easily outplayed them in the first plays of the game. Kilian Huber, Dogukan Kurt and Vincent Graw defended well in the centre of the field. Ben Tollington and Wei Liu played some good through balls into Jedrzej Kasztelan and Nick Hayes who were given plenty of chances to score and somehow couldn't convert a goal. Kilian Huber was the first to test the keeper properly with a twenty yard strike that flew to the bottom right corner of the goal. Radley had a few hopeful strikes but did not look like scoring in the first half which ended 1-0 to St.Clare's. In the second half the pace slowed down considerably as Radley built up the pressure and the St.Clare's defence deemed it necessary to clear the ball constantly into the golf course behind the pitch. On the field St Clare's were doing just enough to keep their slender lead intact. Ilya Chakalidi was introduced in the second half to help Leonid Druzhinin in the midfield. This switch worked well and St Clare's settled down to play some good one touch football. Radley's frustration started to show in the second half and the referee did have to issue a few yellow cards. However St.Clare's showed courage and started to play good football at the end of the second half, with two solid finishes from Anwar Kange and Leonid Druzhinin and a 30-yard screamer from Wei Liu who caught the keeper off guard. Klevis Caushja was awarded the man of the match for his solid play at the back. This was a good win overall, but it was disappointing that more goals weren't scored.
