On Friday the St. Clare's Latin Funk Dance Troupe performed a salsa dance as part of the Multiplicity show at the Pegasus Theatre in Oxford. Take a look at our students in this photo gallery. The students, Alona Myshelovka, Alina Kniajeva, Bee Mylrea Lowndes, Sarah Shaikh, Charlotte Knowles and Activities Teacher, Vicky Hahn, arrived at the theatre at 13.00 ready for rehearsals. Models were practising their choreography as we changed into our dance shoes. After a few practices it was time to go backstage to try costumes and have a dress rehearsal - the hardest part was staying silent on the sidelines! We were then back in with the models and breakdancers queuing up for our hair and make up to be done. All too soon it was 19.00 and it was time to perform. With Ecuadorian hats being worn by some of the performers and bright costumes by others, the happy and vivacious sounds of the Salsaceltica track saw the performers shimmy and shake for the next three and a half minutes! A guest appearance by 9 year old Elsa Ely and her Irish jig were greatly appreciated. Well done to all students for their dedication and hard work!
