The Men's and Women's clubs have been in action over the past three weeks. The Women travelled to Wycombe Abbey School on Tuesday 14 March. The team played two matches against Wycombe and were narrowly defeated in both. Eleonore Haussner was outstanding in goal. Malu Dee and Kate Mullee played well in defence. Virginia Taroni, Fabienne Nassy and Celine Strouts were industrious in the midfield and Patricia Heiss and Camilla Mullins caused the Wycombe defence some trouble in attack. The Women are in action again on Sunday 30 April in a National Tournament based in Bedales School, Petersfield.

On Tuesday 21 March the Men's squad travelled to Radley College. The team secured a 4-0 victory. Killian Huber opened the scoring in the 20th minute and Jedrzej Kasztelan added a second before the break. In the second half Wei Liu and Leonid Druzhinin made sure that there was no way back for Radley. The Man of the Match award was presented to Klevis Caushja.

On Wednesday 29 March the Men's squad played King's College, Oxford at Marsh Park, Cowley. The team was always on top and finished with a 9-4 victory. This was a good opportunity to experiment with new players, formations and new positions for existing players. Nick Hayes and Anwar Kange both scored hat-tricks. Leonid Druzhinin scored two and Jedrzej Kasztelan finished off the match with his name on the score sheet yet again. The Man of the Match award was presented to Tillman Dietrich for his excellent play at right back.

I would like to thank the St. Clare's staff for allowing students to miss afternoon classes to represent the school on the football field. Both squads have been excellent ambassadors.
