Accommodation

St. Clare's welcomes day students living at home, although most are residential in College houses.
There are fifteen College houses for pre-university students. Formerly family houses, they accommodate between 7 and 25 students, mostly 15-20.
Each house has its own welcoming atmosphere.
All houses are very close to the central campus.
Separate houses for male and female students.
Each house has a resident warden responsible for the welfare and care of students, and for maintaining house rules.
Weekly and fully residential arrangements are available.
House rules differ slightly for students, by age.
Two houses (the Woodstock houses) are designated for younger students (15-16 years old). The wardens arrange a special programme of house activities and provide a greater degree of supervision.
Most rooms are twin rooms with some singles, usually for second year IB Diploma students.
Meals are provided in the dining room or the Sugar House café.
Accommodation available during half term breaks, by arrangement.

Welfare

Welfare is a prime concern of all staff.
Each student has a Personal Tutor who has particular responsibility for oversight of welfare and progress.
Students have an individual weekly meeting with Personal Tutors.
Programme of personal, social, and health education.
Welfare team includes Assistant Principal, Dean of Students, Wardens, and Student Services Officer.
Favourable teacher : student ratio. All teachers are involved in student welfare.
Termly reports to parents.
Parents' meetings scheduled, and by arrangement. E-mail has proved very useful for regular communication.
