St. Clare's Latin Funk Dance Troupe performed at the Oxford Fairtrade Fashion Show. Three IB students, Alina Kniajeva, Alona Myshelovka and Trinity Hutton, performed at this year's show, held in the centre of Oxford at the Vaults Café. Wearing Fairtrade Spanish flamenco style dresses, the group performed a specially choreographed salsa piece mixed with an Irish jig to the SalsaCeltica hit “Yo me voy”. The audience loved it and showed their enthusiasm with loud applause!
Participating in this event is a great opportunity for our dance students to understand more about the Fairtrade concept and also to meet other performers and artists in the community. It is also the last performance of the academic year so a great opportunity to display the development of their dance skills and of their confidence.
