St. Clare's offers a number of academic scholarships and bursaries to students who would benefit from and contribute to the academic and social life of our lively international community.
We fund the equivalent of at least five new full scholarships (covering residence and tuition) each year. Awards are made on the basis of academic ability, likely general contribution to the College and financial need. All awards run for the two years of the course, although renewal for the second year is subject to satisfactory performance and conduct. Two awards are designated as Anne Dreydel Foundation Scholarships.
Awards do not cover associated costs such as books, exam fees and certain trips.
Scholarsips are awarded to students of exceptional ability, while Bursaries may be awarded to students who would benefit from and make a considerable contribution to College life.
We would welcome applications for students from both the UK and overseas however it is a requirement that all applicants attend our Scholarship Day, which consists of two written examinations and a series of short interviews with staff members at St. Clare's.
For entry to St. Clare's in September 2008 applications would need to be received by the end of January 2008. Scholarship Day (when all applicants must attend) would be in February 2008.
The maximum award is for full tuition fees (day students) or full tuition and residential fees (residential students). No more than two full residence and tuition scholarships will be awarded. A larger number of smaller awards will be made and may include some awards of more than 50% of total fees.
Please contact Chris Osbourn, Admissions Registrar, for more details of the February Scholarship Day.
