Alumni relations

Dear Alumni,

It is with regret that I must tell you that Anne Dreydel passed away on Tuesday 3 July at the John Radcliffe Hospital here in Oxford. Anne was held in great esteem and affection by her students as she had influenced their lives, both professionally and personally, in many ways.
Anne Dreydel made a huge contribution both to the cause of international education and to the growth and development of St. Clare's, Oxford . Her portrait hangs in the entrance hall of 139, Banbury Road and every tour of the College starts with an explanation of who she is and her role in founding St. Clare's in 1953.
The funeral will be a private affair but there are plans for a memorial service, in celebration of Anne Dreydel's life, in September.

Best wishes,
Paula Holloway
Principal
