St. Clare's hits the heights for the fourth year running

With the release of this year's International Baccalaureate Diploma results, St. Clare's has again shown that its students are capable of making the maximum score in the increasingly well-regarded IB Diploma.

Kilian Huber, from Germany though previously schooled in India, achieved the coveted 45 point maximum, which this year was achieved by just 63 of the almost 35,000 students worldwide who took the Diploma. This is the fourth year in succession when one of St. Clare's students has achieved this result. Considering that there are 2000 IB schools in the world, and given the absence of grade inflation in the IB, one can see that St Clare's continues to lead the way as one of the world's top IB Diploma schools.

We achieved:

  • An 88% overall pass rate and an average points score of 32.49 – this kept us well ahead of the world average points score, which went down this year to 29.57
  • 33 students with 35 points or more (considered equivalent to 4.5 grade As at A level) = 39.8%.
  • 9 students with 40 points or more = 10.8%.
  • 1 student with 45 - the highest possible mark, achieved by only 63 of the 35,000 students who took the Diploma in 2007 (down from 2006, when it was 72 students).
  • 1 student with 44 points, achieved by only 139 students this year.
