County football team success

Congratulations to Peter Wietlicki who has made the training squad for the Oxfordshire county football team. The Oxfordshire team is run by the Oxfordshire County Football Association Ltd. Teams play against other county teams from around England and Wales. Peter's first match will be against Hampshire.

Peter is a second year IB student from Szczecin, Poland and is a very keen football player. The county team use the football pitches at Marston, just a few streets away from St. Clare's, so early morning training is never too far to go.

Peter joins players from other Oxford schools as well as schools from other Oxfordshire towns, such as Henley on Thames in the south, Chipping Norton in the north and King Alfred's, Wantage in the west of the county.

We wish Peter every success with his football and are pleased that he can represent St. Clare's at such a high level.
