Girls football

The girls football team were defeated by Farnborough School in the first round of the English Schools' Football Association Cup match. St. Clare's made the long journey for their first game of the new season. Farnborough School proved far too strong for our squad.

The team on duty was: Natalia Morgan; Anna Tkachenko;(Substitute Maria Luiza Coelho), Ekaterina Blagovidova; Carla Camphausen; Alesia Travieso (UFC), Pauline Ronnberg, Leonie Jung-Irrgang; Giulia Dentice Di Accadia; Aleksandra Sykulak; Disha Banerjee-Bhattacharya, Emma Harvey.

St. Clare's defeated Malvern School 3–0 at Court Place Farm. The girls played some good football at times and were rewarded with three goals. Giulia Dentice Di Accadia (2) and Aleksandra Sykulak (1) were the goal scorers. Natalia Morgan did an excellent job in goal and with the help of the four defenders they didn't concede any goals. Alesia Travieso (UFC), Susana Dahl (ASP) and Jimena Cornu (ASP) also played their part in a strong team performance.

Our girls also participated in the Independent Schools Sixes Tournament at Stamford School in October.
