International Evening

The Hall was packed for St. Clare's annual International Evening. The event was organised by the Student Council and while showcasing talent with an international flavour also raises a significant amount of money for charity.

Everyone enjoyed a good evening's entertainment with song, dance, drama, poetry and poi! We had Italians singing, the band's version of a U2 anthem, merengue dancing, Anton Beda dancing brilliantly, capoeira, Jamaican poetry from Kathryna among many other performances of a very high standard.

As well as the performances there was a sale of cakes and drinks organised by the Invisible Children group and a tombola run by the Amnesty International group.

The event raised over £500 for charity and it was excellent to see the evident co-operation between the Student Council, Amnesty International and Invisible Children.
