Raising funds for good causes

Each year the Student Council at St. Clare's raises money for charities and last year's council were particularly successful. Through social events, selling hoodies and selling Valentine's roses they raised £3,000. They have decided to donate the money to three charities. £1,000 each will be donated to:

1. SOS Children's Villages which support orphaned children throughout the world;
2. Helen and Douglas House, an Oxford charity which provides care for terminally ill young people and respite for their families;
3. Oxfam for sustainable development projects in Africa related to provision of clean water

Well done to the Student Council of the class of 2010 and thanks to the staff and students who supported them.
