Spring students

Students enrolled on our adult courses and based at 3 Bardwell Road are settling well into the academic and social life in Oxford. We have 16 American students from the University of San Diego, Manhattanville College, Guildford College and one student from Belgium enrolled on our Liberal Arts programme as part of their Study Abroad Semester.

Four Liberal Arts students have been awarded St. Clare's Scholarships which enables them to be enrolled as 'Visiting Students' at the University of Oxford and take one tutorial course at Blackfriars Hall.

Our 21 students enrolled on our English plus Academic Studies course (for many taken as part of a gap year programme), come from 10 different countries. They add to the 25 students on the University Foundation Course who originate from the Far East, South America, western Europe, Russia, north Africa and the Middle East. The bi-annual welcome dinner held at St. Hugh's College was attended by 145 students and staff.

St. Clare's has a full programme of weekly sports activities and a wide range of excursions including Bath, Warwick Castle and Stratford, Windsor Castle, trips to London's Camden market, the British Museum, Tat Modern, Cambridge and a perennial favourite, Stonehenge and Avebury. This semester, we have organised an accompanied weekend trip to the Lake District and Scotland as well as a weekend in Lisbon, Portugal.
