Sensational Salsa

It's been a busy weekend for the St. Clare's Salsa group. On Saturday night they performed their new routine at a local salsa club in Oxford and on Sunday they performed a Salsa routine which we have been rehearsing for the last 5 months at the Moving Oxford Day of Dance at the Town Hall. It is amazing to see how these four students (Bota, Aigerim, Sergey and Nikita) have progressed over the last year. Their confidence and way of interacting with each other have developed and it is always a pleasure for me to work with them.

Every Wednesday the Salsa Performance group train at the mirrored dance studio at the Ferry Centre and on Mondays we have a general Salsa class in the hall for all students.

Salsa benefits students in many ways: increased body awareness, increase in confidence, learning to respect and dance with a partner, reading each others body language and teamwork.

We encourage all students to give dance a go. There are many community classes in all sorts of styles. We do, however, advise students that dance is addictive!
