Donation to John Radcliffe Hospital

St. Clare's was recently presented with a financial award of US$500 by the GE Foundation, the philanthropic organization of General Electric Company. This was the result of Martina Sampo (second year IB student) being selected to receive a 2010 GE Star Award; Martina then nominated Roni Hameiri to receive this accompanying award for St. Clare's. Roni had written in support of Martina's application for the GE award. Shannan Spisak, Program Manager for GE's Global scholarship Programs congratulated Roni on her ‘fine support of high-achieving students such as Martina'.

Roni has decided that the money should be donated to the Children's Hospital section of the John Radcliffe Hospital to be used for educational purposes in their wards for children suffering from cancer. Many thanks to Roni for her support of Martina.
