The Running Club in action in Oxford

Ten members of the St. Clare's Running Club participated in the Oxford Town and Gown 10 km race. This is the 30th year the race has been staged and it is now a major fundraising event for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.

The people who took part ranged from serious runners looking to score a personal best, students in fancy dress and parents with children afflicted by the disease. The winning race time was 31 minutes and 56 seconds (0:31:56) and the final runner crossed the line in 1 hour and 37 minutes. This was the first time for a number of St. Clare's students to run in a race with 3,211 competitors and such a significant race in national runners calendar.
