Results and destinations

As always some re-marking needed to take place before confirming our final IB results – we are delighted to announce that three of our students achieved the perfect score of 45 points! Well done to Olga, Tyra and Kelly. Here are some of the other highlights:
  • 24% of our students achieved 40 points or more – this is a great achievement as the previous record was 17%
  • Over 90% achieved 30 points or more
  • The average score was 35.9 points. This is the equivalent to 4.5 A grades at A-level. The world average is 29.8 points
In terms of university destinations:
  • UK – 83% of those who applied were accepted to their first choice UK university
  • UK – 25% will be going to top 10 UK universities, including one to Oxford and one to Cambridge – a second student was offered a place at Cambridge but instead decided to study in the US.
  • UK – 57% to top 20 UK universities
  • UK – 70% to top 30 UK universities
  • USA – seven students have accepted placed at US universities, including three at top 10 universities (MIT and Pennsylvania)
  • Worldwide – other students have successfully applied to Glion Hospitality School (Switzerland); University of Maastricht (Holland), Bocconi (Italy); Sofia or Waseda (Japan); Macquarie University (Australia); several others to top German universities.
  • Gap year – 10 students have decided to take a break before university – some will work, others will travel and one student is planning to learn Mandarin Chinese!
