Trophies at Oxford Music Festival 2012

Congratulations to Isabel Andrzejewski on her success at the Oxford Musical Festival.

Head of Music, Philomena Solomon explains "She was outstanding in her performance. She not only won the Jean Loughmann award of £50 but also won The Jack Gibbons Cup for 13-18 piano class. Isabel is an exceptional student and this talent was recognised as she was also awarded the most prestigious cup, The European Piano Teachers' Association Cup, for overall best pianist in the two weeks of the festival."

Isabel was invited to go to the winners' concert, not to perform, but to receive her cups from the Lord Mayor at the world renowned Jacqueline Du Pre Music Hall, Oxford.

Philomena says that "I would also like to thank my fellow music teacher Maureen Lake for her hard work and for helping me to convince Isabel that she is good! The weekend before Isabel was very despondent as she came second in the 15 years piano class."
