One more important victory for St Clare's Chess Team!

Yesterday, St Clare's chess team scored a very important win against our closest rival Cumnor 2, and now we our clearly in the second place in the table, two points ahead of the third-place Oxford City 5. It should be mentioned this was our fifth (!) consecutive win in the season.

This is the latest league table (16 March 2012). All the tables and results have been taken from Oxfordshire Chess website www.oca.oxfordfusion.com.

Several of our players have showed great results throughout the season: thus Shiri Heffetz 8.5/10 (85%), Ekaterina Karetko 4.5/6 (75%), Stepan Nazaretyan 5/7 (71.43%), Arjaldo Karaj and David Genis both 7/11 (63.64%). Lev Bel'skiy's and Yakiv Yaholnitser's good results in the last matches have also greatly contributed to our team's victories.

With three more rounds remaining until the end of the season, the intrigue for the first three places has been preserved.
