For the second year in a row, St. Clare's, Oxford has been ranked the best performing Sixth Form
College in Oxfordshire, according to Government Performance Tables released today. The College
is renowned, world-wide, as a centre of excellence for study for the International Baccalaureate
	Diploma (IB).

The first College in the UK to offer IB as an alternative to A Levels, St Clare's student's average
IB score is the equivalent of 3 x Grade A*s at A Level. Last year our results included:

		- 99% IB pass rate

		- 22% of our students achieved the A-level equivalent of 4 x A*

		- 65% achieved the A-level equivalent of 3 x A*

		- 90% achieved the A-level equivalent of 3 x A

Paula Holloway, Principal, said "Today's league tables show that St. Clare's relaxed and friendly
environment, where students are highly motivated to work, reaps first class results. The College
takes a forward-looking approach to education where students' natural curiosity is encouraged in
an intellectually adventurous environment. Our students continually give us reason to be proud of
them and their achievements both in the classroom and our Oxford community."

St. Clare's is unusual amongst Oxfordshire schools in that, since its foundation, it has always
had an international focus. The College teaches 24 different languages and has an international
student body from 47 different countries. Over the last 6 years St Clare's averages have consistently
outperformed world average scores. Only 14 other schools in the world have been teaching the IB
	Diploma longer than St. Clare's.
