Photography students visited Rousham House gardens on a glorious autumn day for a photography workshop on location.
The house is just a short drive north of Oxford and one of the hidden gems in the local area.
Rousham House and its landscape garden were the work of William Kent (1685-1748) and represents the
beginnings of English landscape design. The gardens have escaped extension or alteration and appear almost
the same as when Kent left them in the 17th century.
Our students were able to take their time wandering around the gardens discovering hidden ponds,
walking through the small parterre, admiring the dramatic colour of the herbacious boarders and
finding inspirational subjects for their project.
After half term the group are going to be working on producing a Landscape display.
