Pitt Rivers Museum study trip

Our University Foundation Course (UFC) students made their way to the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford, home to the University of Oxford's collection of anthropology and world archaeology, to discover its many fascinating delights.

The study visit fitted into a blended learning sequence of work on 'Disappearing Languages' and students were tasked with finding two interesting objects and talking about them whilst being filmed by their partners. The use of mobile devices was key to the success of this visit as students recorded their thoughts about their chosen objects whilst they were actually in the museum. This visit was followed up with a session in class, with question and answers being shared across the two Foundation group classes.

St. Clare's UFC course helps students prepare for entrance to top UK universities by improving their level of English and providing a solid foundation in academic studies.
