North Hinksey Conservation Volunteers

Seven of our IB students recently enjoyed a trip helping the North Hinksey Conservation Volunteers. Armed with gloves and loppers, the group helped to clean up an area of protected woodland. Used regularly by locals, the area provides a natural corridor for a variety of animals, including badgers, foxes and deer.

The students got stuck in with the conservation work; helping to cut down vines from trees and cutting back overgrown areas of bramble to allow for a greater diversity of plants to grow. They also helped to lay gravel on the path; impressing the conservation group's organisers with their hard work and positive attitude.
