Intensive and Examination English

The Intensive and Examination English Course is aimed at the more serious learner. It combines integrated English Language skills, learner training, academic study skills and examination practice with a range of activities and excursions.

English Language development 25 lessons per week
. mornings: integrated skills, learner training and study skills
. afternoons: English for Academic Purposes (EAP) plus Examination skills for IELTS and Cambridge (FCE, CAE)
Level: from Intermediate to Advanced
Class size: 12 maximum
Duration: 3 or 6 weeks

Note: 1 lesson=55 minutes

  • we test you on the first day and place you into a group that suits your level
  • lessons focus on:
    • Accuracy and fluency skills: grammar, listening, speaking, reading and writing activities, conversation practice, role plays, debates, discussions, presentations
    • EAP (English for Academic Purposes) and Examination skills: note-taking, research, IELTS and Cambridge Examination preparation
  • your teachers have high expectations and encourage you to work hard both inside and outside the classroom, with regular homework tasks and weekly progress tests
  • you receive a Certificate and Report on the final day based on your progress during the course.
