A group of our St. Clare's Adult students recently visited Chepstow Castle in Wales. Located in Monmouthshire, the Castle overlooks the River Wye and is the oldest surviving post-Roman stone fortification in Britain.
Today, the castle is open to the public and visitors are able to walk along the battlements and into Martens Tower. The castle has recently also been used for filming the Doctor Who 50th anniversary broadcast!
After enjoying the history of the Castle, the group went on to explore Cardiff town. Despite the weather, everybody agreed that it had been a fantastic day.
