The Oxford 10k and the Teddy Hall Relays

St. Clare's Running Club have recently participated in two events; the Oxford 10k and the Teddy Hall Relays. On Sunday 6 March, team members took park in the Oxford 10k race which was held in Tilsley Park, Abingdon. Teisi Tamming was the first team member home in 51 minutes. The other team members included Cormack Kirby, Wei Sha, Hannah Gibbs, Dmitry Kozhevnikov and Erlan Nourzhanov.

Following this, we joined over 700 runners in around 200 teams taking part in the University Cross Country Club’s popular Teddy Hall Relays 2014. St. Clare’s had two mixed teams starting the relay at the Iffley Road track, made famous by Roger Bannister in 1954 when he became the first to break the 4 minute barrier for the mile. 

Team Eye Bee finished in 13 position with the following team members completing their individual 5.8km legs in the following times; 

  • Kevin Hennessy; 21:41 
  • Teisi Tamming; 28:06 
  • Anna Maximova; 27.59 
  • Hannah Gibbs; 29.26 

Team IB finished in 23 position with the following team members completing their individual 5.8km legs in the following times; 

  • Matt Muller; 25:29 
  • Aila Rothweiler; 34:24 
  • Anna Katharina Heinzelmann; 29:35 
  • Dmitry Kozhevnikov; 30.12
