Fishing!

Last weekend, 5 of our IB students enjoyed a fishing trip in Oxfordshire. Guan Yu, Wenkun He, Zhe Lian, Naz Buhsen and Xin Yun went to Pimlico Farm fishery, Tusmore near Bicester. The group were lucky with the weather and experienced glorious autumnal sunshine, whilst catching a number of roach, rudd and perch using roach poles and maggots as bait.

Elaine was the most successful angler and caught 22 fish, whilst Naz caught the biggest fish; a roach of 6oz! All of the fish were returned safely to the water and the students were awarded chocolate oranges in celebration, which they shared with their fellow fisherman.

Alongside learning to fish, the group gained an appreciation of how relaxing fishing can be, as they had time to reflect upon their busy lives.
