A group of our IB students recently took part in a conservation trip, helping the North Hinksey Conservation Volunteers. The students helped to clear an area of protected woodland, which is regularly used by locals and provides a natural corridor for a number of animals.
When asked about their experience, the students made the following comments:
- "It was an absolutely new experience, I enjoyed it."
- "As a biology student, I found the activity very useful to better understand what conservation really is."
- "Saturday was enjoyable and informative from a naturalist point of view."
The students also impressed the North Hinksey Conservation Volunteer Leader, who commented on their admirable willingness to work and support one another.
