Recently, a group of our IB students and Pre-IB students enjoyed an exciting trip to Barcelona. The students arrived in the early afternoon and after a quick dash to the hotel to drop off their bags, they went straight out to visit Gaudi's infamous unfinished Cathedral - La Sagrada Familia. The group enjoyed a tour from a local guide and marvelled at the intricacies of the building's amazing design.
That evening, the group went out for dinner at a local restaurant, where they were able to try a number of traditional Spanish dishes.
It was an early start the next morning as the group headed out for a walking tour of Barcelona, visiting the famous market, La Boqueria. After a morning of sight-seeing, the group had a free afternoon to visit the beach, go shopping or carry on sight-seeing! Everybody met back at the hotel for dinner, before going to see a live flamenco show in the evening.
The next day, the group visited Gaudi's famous park - Parc Guell, as well as the Plaza Espana Fountains. All of the students who attended the trip thoroughly enjoyed the culture, sightseeing and of course, the chance to practice their Spanish speaking.
