A group of our first year IB students recently enjoyed a workshop on pinhole photography with local artist Antonia Bruce. Students learned the "retro" techniques of capturing an image in a box on photographic paper.
They experienced the magic of seeing a negative image appear on their 8 x 10" sheets of paper in a tray of developer in the darkroom. After this, the students were about to learn how to make a paper positive from their paper negative when the spell was broken, as one of the students realised they could do that digitally with an app on their phone!
Thank you to Antonia Bruce for an excellent workshop.
