We were delighted to present Liselotte Smelt with the Nick Kneale Award for Most Promising Student 2014.
The award is presented annually to a student on the English plus Academic Subjects (EAS) programme or to a non-Native English speaker on the Liberal Arts Programme for outstanding commitment and achievement. This is the second year in which the award has been presented. The winner, Liselotte Smelt, was unanimously and enthusiastically nominated by her instructors. In their words, she is an 'exemplary student, highly motivated, conscientious and exceptional'.
The winner enrolled on St. Clare's Liberal Arts Programme in January 2014 and studied alongside native English speakers. She took a full load of 5 courses and produced consistently high quality work. Moreover, she chose to attend all of her lectures in the Seminar Series, submitted the journal and extended essay of a standard that earned her an A grade.
Liselotte is truly a 'promising student' who took full advantage of the academic opportunities available at the International College. We wish her every success in the future.
