Chinese New Year 2014

Last week, a group of our Adult students went out to dinner to celebrate Chinese New Year. The students visited The Opium Den on George Street in Oxford and thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the company.

An important Chinese holiday, this event is also know as the Spring Festival and was traditionally a time to honour deities as well as ancestors. According to the zodiac symbol, 2014 is the year of the horse, which is one of the 12-year-cycle of animals which makes up the Chinese Zodiac. The St. Clare's students had a great evening marking this occasion together.
