Mikita Kudlovich, Guerino Panetta, Samra Abd El Wahab and Artur Khasanov represented St Clare's at yesterday's Senior Maths Team Challenge, which is run by the Further Mathematics Support Programme and hosted at St Edward's School. Our team achieved its best ever result, finishing 7th from a pool of 25 Oxfordshire schools.
The students performed best in the problem-solving round, in which they scored 9/10. At one stage it was thought that Mikita had spotted an error in the mark scheme and that we should have been awarded 10/10, but this was overruled. The other rounds were a Crossnumber that was a lot more challenging than in previous years, and a Mini-Relay which examines accuracy, speed and teamwork. Well done to our team!
