It's that time of year again, when all IB students assemble at Oxford Town Hall to participate in committees dedicated to debating some of our world’s greatest social, economic and political crises. This annual event gives students the chance to dress up and get passionately involved in arguing the viewpoint of their chosen countries.
This year's event will be held on Monday 17th November and the committees and topics are as follows:
1) CRISIS COMMITTEE:
"How should the international community respond to the Ukrainian Conflict?"
2) HISTORICAL COMMITTEE:
"Should the USA establish the sea blockade around Cuba in order to prevent USSR placing their nuclear weapon on it?"
3) HEALTH COMMITTEE:
"Should drug trial stages be modified in emergency situations such as the current Ebola crisis?"
4) ECONOMIC COMMITTEE (only for business and economics students):
"Should the WTO aim to abolish all forms of protectionism in international trade?"
5) POLITICAL COMMITTEE:
"Should the UN Security Council be restructured for the 21st century?"
6) HUMAN RIGHTS COMMITTEE:
"Should there be an international charter regarding the welfare of prisoners?"
