Philosophy and Ethics in Education

Professor A C Grayling, founder and first Master of the New College of the Humanities (NCH), visited St. Clare’s to give an informative talk to IB teachers and students about Ethics in Education and teaching values.

Two of NCH’s current students, one of which was Paul Hoffschmidt who graduated with an IB Diploma from St. Clare’s last year, also came along to meet some of our students who are currently deciding where they want to go after graduating. In a Q&A session, they were able to find out what life at NCH is like, both academically and socially, and what they look for during the admissions process.

Paul said: “It’s an exciting experience and I don’t regret a minute of it. There’s a really nice family atmosphere in the College and there’s plenty of opportunities to build up contact with people in the industries.”

The New College of the Humanities was founded in 2011 and has faculty including Richard Dawkins and Steven Pinker of the Department of Psychology at Harvard University.
