It has one of the oldest libraries, and one of the oldest museums. It was/is home to some world-famous authors - C. S. Lewis, J. R. R Tolkien, Lewis Carrol, Philip Pullman, to name but a few. It's a very popular filming location, with productions including Harry Potter, The Golden Compass, Inspector Morse, Lewis, and more. The new James Bond is currently being filmed at Blenheim Palace!

Beautiful Scenery

The Oxford colleges and churches make up one breathtaking skyline! Climb to the top of South Park hill and see it at sunrise/sunset - just stunning.

Punting

This is such a great pastime and an absolute must if you visit Oxford. Grab some friends and set off down the river. Take a picnic with you and really make a day of it!

Food!

Oxford has some wonderful cafes, restaurants, pubs, and street food! For a taste of quality English food, visit the covered market.
